Building web sites for the wrong reasons --- for money

Now a days more people than not are building web sites for money. The Web 2.0 culture has been marketed about more and better features provided to users via a web browser. However, that is a facade to what the Web 2.0 initiative is really about --- it is about money. It is about how people can monetize their web sites. That is wrong and people with that attitude will fail. Only people that have the persistence to buck the trend of money making to actually make a content filled and useful web site will succeed in the end.

People are always asking how GolfInvestors make money. I tell them we don't make money. However, hopefully we will in the future. In the meantime I put my own time into to it to build a strong and useful web site for users.
