Completed Move; Starting PhD Program

I have finally completed the move to Kentucky from Colorado. Not all of the boxes are unpacked, but the essentials are out of their boxes in the new house. So that means I can continue with my life as normal. Except now, it is time to start my doctorate program, which is why we moved to Kentucky in the first place.

My first day in the program will be this Friday, August 1st. It should be difficult, but rewarding. I am looking forward to it.

Tournament Results and News Updates Delayed

For the past week and a half I have been moving across country in a moving truck as my family and I are moving from Colorado to Kentucky. As such, the tournament results and news updates on GolfInvestors have been delayed. Rather than having the tournament results updated after each round finishes (i.e. on the same day a round is played), I have been updating the results at the end of each tournament.

Once I get settled in Kentucky, I will be able to get the results and updates back on schedule either through my activities or help from others.

Thanks for everyone's support of GolfInvestors and being patient.

More customization for player tournament analysis

On GolfInvestors there is a tournament analysis for each player that is in a tournament's field. That page is called the 'player tournament analysis' page. Here is an example of the player tournament analysis for Jim Furyk in the 2008 RBC Canadian Open.

Jim Furyk: RBC Canadian Open: Player Tournament Analysis

The player tournament analysis page has been in existence on the GolfInvestors for several years. However, what I changed on it this past week is the ability to customize how many past instances of the tournament to look at, how many days to look back prior to the tournament, and how many tournaments to look back prior to the tournament.

The default is:

  • 10 tournaments in the past
  • 30 days prior to the tournament
  • 4 tournaments prior to the tournament

However, now that can be changed by any user if they want to look at different configurations of the player tournament analysis page.
